Vaccines avoid many illnesses and save many lives every year. As a result of common vaccine use, the smallpox virus has entirely been eradicated and the occurrence of measles, polio and other childhood diseases have considerably been abridged around the world. Classical vaccine strategies, for instance inactivated pathogen, live attenuated and subunit vaccines, offer strong protection against diversity of hazardous diseases. In spite of this achievement, there remain chief obstacles to vaccine development against a diversity of infectious pathogens, part-icularly those better able to avoid the adaptive immune response. Furthermore, for most emer-ging virus vaccines, the main barrier is not the efficiency of usual approaches but the requirements for more rapid development and large-scale use. Nucleic acid therapeutics have appeared as hopeful option to classical vaccine approaches.

Different derivatives of Cinnamaldehydes were prepared by Claisen-Schmidt condensation (by using Strong basic reagent). The prepared Cinnamaldehydes were treated with Hydrazine hydrate in presence of ZnO Nano-catalyst under microwave assisted solvent-free conditions to afford different substituted Pyrazoles. Green chemistry was employed. Comparisons of both microwave & conventional methods were studied & found that the first was more potent than the later. The synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR & elemental analysis. All synthesized compounds were screened for in vitro test against EAC cell lines. Most compounds exhibited good inhibitor potency with IC50 values.
Nature provides drugs in the form of medicinal plants to cure all ailments of mankind with fewer side effects. These medicinal plants can cause some serious damaging effects on the vital organs of the body too; there is a need of toxicity studies to provide their safe use both in human and animals. The present study reports the acute systemic toxicity of methanolic extracts of leaves of Adenanthera pavonina L., Peltophorum roxburghii Deneger., Prosopis cineraria Druce and Prosopis juliflora DC., (Mimosaceae) in swiss albino mice to explore their suitable doses for pharmacological screening. Observations were made immediately and after 1/2, 1, 4, 24 and 48hours of intraperitoneal drug administration. Adenanthera pavonina extract at the dose of 150 mg/kg body weight is considered to be safe. Whereas remaining extracts of investigated plants are relatively safe at the dose of 100 mg/kg body weight.

Le but de cet article est de montrer que l’auteure construit son texte autour de plusieurs facettes pour assurer la transmission des valeurs identitaires et que le choix de certains genres oraux et l’évocation de la problématique de genre (homme-femme) offrent des concepts qui servent à exprimer des faits propres à l’identité culturelle africaine. À partir d’une analyse thématique et sociocritique, nous comprenons qu’elle adosse insidieusement à ce thème la problématique de l’identité. Ce, à partir de plusieurs artifices littéraires qui sont entre autres le potentiel oral traditionnel du terroir et le discours revalorisant la femme, par ricochet l’identité africaine.
Recently, the definition of cardiorenal syndrome (CRS), a condition with a complicated pathogenesis, has been revised. Logically, CRS syndrome should be classified according to the initial organ that is injured, resulting in damage to another organ. Hence, there are only three main categories of CRS. Category one includes acute and chronic CRS. Category two involves renal-cardiac syndrome (RCS), which can be classified as acute or chronic. The third category represents secondary CRS, referred to as cardio-reno-cardiac syndrome (CRCS), which can be subdivided into acute and chronic CRCS. In this part of our series, we will discuss the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of acute CRS. We retrieved articles published on acute CRS using different keywords and phrases between January 2019 and June 2025 to achieve these goals.
Peripheral nerves are more prone to damage during trauma. Though nerve grafts are used as an alternative method in treating it, the results are purely ambiguous. One such modern approach to treat peripheral nerve injury is bone marrow differentiated neuronal cells. Our present aim is to study the effect of in-vitro differentiated bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in the treatment of peripheral nerve injury in rats. Six weeks old rat weighing 80 gm was used for isolation and culture of BMSCs. The second passage cells were taken for neuronal differentiation. Flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry were performed with Anti goat IgG antibody indirectly conjugated with FITC to express nestin. In vitro differentiated BMSC along with PLGA Scaffold is injected into the site of peripheral nerve injury and the results were studied by ENMG, microdissection, and histopathology. The cells were expressed with Nestin goat polyclonal antibody. At the end of the second week, the rat reveals increased amplitude (8.3 mv) with decreased latency (0.8 ms) of the peripheral nerve. Micro dissection confirms the neuronal continuity of the injured peripheral nerve. Histopathology distinctly exhibit increased myelination and decreased endoneuronal space. In conclusion, neuronal differentiated BMSC, regenerate peripheral nerve injury faster than conventional methods and can be applied as an alternate therapy in peripheral nerve repair.

Community pharmacy has undergone a rapid expansion with various services moving away from the traditional supply function to other patient-focused services. Thus, the aim of this study is to examine consumer views and expectations toward the services provided in Libyan private community pharmacies, as well as customers' skepticism and their general satisfactions toward these services. The study is descriptive, cross-sectional survey and self-designed administered questionnaire. Study population comprised 0f adult patients or costumers who visited the community pharmacies. Out of the 600 questionnaires were personally handed, 462 of the distributed questionnaires were returned (response rate 77%). The majority of the participants reported that community pharmacy staff dealing with customers in polite ways (75%) and providing privacy and sufficient consideration (60%). Respondents agreed that the staff listens attentively and satisfied with encounter time by 60% and 50%, respectively. For provision of drug information as “how the drug work in the first-time use”, “customer experience of the side effects” and “their ability to using the prescribed medicine properly” were reported by 45%, 30% and 30%, correspondingly, while 60% of the respondents denied that staff provided the medication storage information. Regarding the customer skepticism toward community pharmacy services, 55% respondents agreed that services of community pharmacies tend to just concern on commercial aspects and 60% of respondents believed that services concern toward the business matter more likely than patient health. Interestingly, 85% of the respondents acknowledged the role of community pharmacy as indispensable healthcare setting. The availability of the pharmaceutical product and the cost of pharmacy products satisfied by 40% and 20% of the respondents, respectively. In conclusion, this study demonstrated low customer satisfaction with regard to community pharmacy services in the southern region of Libya. Community pharmacy staff should have an understanding of the codes of conduct and the ethical requirements for their practice of pharmacy profession.

Many people are distracted from the normal lifestyle, because of the hearing loss they have. Most of them do not use the hearing aids due to various discomforts in wearing them. The main and the foremost problem available in it is; the device introduces unpleasant whistling sounds, caused by the changing environmental noise, which is faced by the user daily. This paper describes the development of an algorithm, which focuses on the adaptive feedback cancellation, that improves the listening effort of the user. The genetic algorithm is one of the computational techniques, that is used in enhancing the above features. The performance can also be compared with other comprehensive analysis methods, to evaluate its standards.
The concept of knowledge and the process of knowledge sharing in ethnic minority microbusinesses remain neglected in contemporary debates even if their role for economic development is recognized. Drawing on a culturalist view, we explore how knowledge is defined and shared in a local niche market. Thematic analysis of semistructured qualitative interviews with 32 owner managers and 11 employee-managers reveals that, contrary to studies on larger firms, local knowledge creation and sharing narrowly based on ethnic strengths are valuable sources of competitive advantage. Our study has implications for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in exploring, supporting, and integrating ethnic minority microbusinesses.
Pendidikan agama Islam sebagai upaya mengembangkan, mendorong serta membimbing peserta didik hidup lebih dinamis dengan berdasarkan nilai-nilai agama islam dan terbentuk pribadi peserta didik insane kamil. Rumusan dalam dalam peneltian ini: 1) Bagaimana peran PAI dalam pembinaan kesehatan mental siswa di SDN Sekarputih 1 Tegalampel Bondowoso? 2) Bagaimana peran PAI dalam pembinaan kesehatan pikiran/intelektual siswa di SDN Sekarputih 1 Tegalampel Bondowoso? Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi, metode wawancara dan metode dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif Milles, Huberman dan Saldana dengan tiga Langkah dalam proses analisis data yaitu: kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk memeriksa keabsahan data ini, menggunakan tehnik triangulasi yaitu triangulasi tehnik, triangulasi metode dan triangulasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan: (1) Peran PAI dalam pembinaan kesehatan mental siswa di SDN Sekarputih 1 Tegalampel Bondowoso yaitu: (a) Agama sebagai pembimbing dalam kehidupan peserta didik. (b) Agama sebagai penolong dalam menghadapi kesulitan untuk memecahakan masalah yang di alami siswa. (c) Agama sebagai penentram bathin. (2) Peran PAI dalam pembinaan kesehatan intelektual/kesehatan pikiran di SDN Sekarputih 1 Tegalampel Bondowoso yaitu: (a) Guru membimbing peserta didik secara akademis di dalam sekolah maupun di luar sekolah. (b) Kajian-kajian keagamaan oleh guru PAI sebelum atau sesudah mata pelajaran dimulai. (c) Membudayakan siswa untuh silaturrahim kerumah guru. (d) Bimbingan secara intelektual kepada dengan teori-teori keagamaan yang memadai, agar siswa tidak sekuler dalam berperilaku sehari-hari.
The butanol fraction of the leaves of Castanospermum australe Cunn. & Fraser., was tested on adult Callosobruchus analis (pulse beetle) for its insecticidal activity by impregnation method at concentrations of 3, 9, 48, 240 and 354 μg / cm2. The result showed that the extract is toxic to Callosobruchus analis and the LD50 was found to be 38 µg/cm2. The insecticidal activity of the butanol fraction of Castanospermum australe leaves against adult Callosobruchus analis was determined by impregnation method in five different concentrations and the result so obtained revealed that the extract is toxic against the test insect (pulse beetle). The mortality was lowest (14 %) at 3 µg/cm2 and highest (96 %) at 354 µg/cm2 (Table). The LD50 by log-log graph was found to be 38 µg/cm2. It may be said that the saponins of this plant could be utilized as a natural insecticide that could be an effective alternative for insect pest management.
A simple, rapid, sensitive reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method was developed and validated for simultaneous measurement of albendazole and praziquantel with an internal standard, simvastatin, at single wavelength of 225 nm. Chromatographic separation was performed on an Enable C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm: Spinco Biotech Pvt Ltd) and a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile:water (60:40, v/v) with 10% orthophosphoric acid to adjust the pH to 3.2, at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. The calibration curve was linear (r2 ≥ 0.999) over the concentration range 0.05–8.0 μg/ml. The concentrations of simvastatin was 1.0 μg/ml. The limit of quantification was 0.05 μg/ml for both albendazole and praziquantel. No interference was found by the excipients in the synthetic mixture. The proposed methods were validated as per International Conference on Harmonisation guidelines for linearity, accuracy, precision and robustness for estimation of albendazole and praziquantel in bulk and in a synthetic mixture, and the results were found to be satisfactory.
Banana (Musa spp.) are giant perennial grasses, commonly known as ‘Apple of paradise’.The chromosome counting of Elachi, Poovan and Nendran Banana traits were recorded. In average, a number of chromosomes recorded in Poovan (13.2), followed by Elachi with 11.1 chromosomes and Nendran with 10.9 chromosomes. There are various methods of determining banana ploidy level, one among is estimating stomatal density and size. The present investigation Elachi, Nendran and Poovan stomatal density range from 50 to 55/mm2 which are diploid, while Robusta ranges 34/mm2 which is triploid. Highest stomatal size recorded in Poovan traits (48 μm2) followed by Robusta (45 μm2), Nendran (28 μm2) and Elachi (21 μm2). Another method of ploidy determination is by chloroplast count in a guard cell of stomata. Elachi, Nendran, and Poovan contain 8 chloroplasts in the guard cell thus belongs to diploid. In the analysis of floral characters of all the four traits reveals that there is no significant difference in stigma length and width. Similarly, no significant variation recorded in anther length. Pollen size is often used as a biological parameter to estimate the ploidy and viability of mature pollen grains. Broad variation in pollen viability exists among clones with Musa species. Mycorrhizal association with the higher plants has also shown an increase in agricultural productivity. The percent colonization of AMF with the root system was calculated by two methods. Compare to Method – I and Method – II reveals that in Elachi 2.5%, Poovan 13.3% and 17.5% of variations recorded. Overall in the average highest percent of colonization were recorded in Poovan (76.6%).
The Cellular Manufacturing is adopted in batch type manufacturing industries nowadays for their production with increased productivity, less cost and time with effective control. The proposed optimization model is used to determine the cost of machine cells, i.e., machine duplication, part subcontract, inter intra cellular movements cost and cost of production associated with machine cell, such as machine reconfiguration and part inventory considering machine flexibility for various time periods. Initially, a mathematical model is proposed to calculate machine cell cost with and without considering machine flexibility, and then another lpp integer model is proposed to calculate the machine cell production and associated cost for the changes in the time period, part type, and volume considering machine flexibility. The manufacturing data in the incidence matrix and machine cell, and part family data in the block diagonal form are given as input to the optimization programming language Cplex and the output is given for the two mathematical models. The data relating to machine duplication, part subcontract, inter intracellular movement; machine reconfiguration, and part inventory are given. Two-dimensional shop floor layouts are presented in rectilinear coordinates for all the problems for easy analysis of material movement length and shop floor area
Prostate cancer (PCa) is the leading cause of cancer death in men, and its treatment is commonly associated with severe adverse effects. So, new treatment modalities are needed. In this context, natural compounds have been widely explored for their anti-PCa properties. Aquatic organisms contain numerous potential medications. Anticancer peptides are less toxic to normal cells and provide a productive treatment approach via multiple mechanisms, including altered cell viability, apoptosis, cell migration/invasion, suppression of angiogenesis and microtubule balance disturbances. This review sheds light on marine peptides as efficacious and safe therapeutic agents for PCa.
Creative tourism has been stimulated as new form of tourism by more skilled forms of tourism activities, by the growth of new consumption patterns, and by changes in the production of tourism products. It can solve that problems experienced by tourists in the conventional tourism. Creativity has many definitions and that based on the function of creativity, it was historically related to creative person, but the recent research in creativity focused on creative product. Parkinson’s disease, first described by James Parkinson in 1817, is a neurodegenerative ailment resulting from the damage of nerve cells in the brain. It is a chronic, progressive, neurodegenerative disorder with an estimated prevalence of 31 to 328 per 100,000 people worldwide. It is estimated that more than 1 percent of the population over age 65 are afflicted with Parkinson’s disease; incidence and prevalence increase with age. There are numerous unanswered questions regarding the diagnosis and management of Parkinson’s disease. Worsening mobility, causing problems with activities of daily living, pain and communication problems due to rigidity of facial muscles, are the main reasons of their decreasing quality of life. This study is focused on the role of psychological variables, which could be associated with quality of life in PD patients. After their identification a discussion about opportunities of improvement patient’s quality of life can be opened. Current drug therapies for human PD with Levodopa or various dopamine receptor agonists offer symptomatic relief and appear to have little effect on the neurodegenerative process. More than 50% of patients with PD treated over 5 years with Levodopa will develop complications such as motor fluctuations and dyskinesia’s. In this scenario, slowing the progression of PD through neuroprotective or restorative therapy is a major focus of research. From a pharmacologic standpoint, current strategies involve interrupting the cascade of biochemical events that leads to death of dopaminergic cells. The significance of many indigenous medicinal plants and their phytoconstitutents in the management of Parkinsonism with minimal side effect profile arise in this context
The current study was conducted to determine the insoluble, soluble, and total dietary fiber content of Macrotyloma uniflorum (Lam.) Verdc., Phaseolus lunatus Linn., and Phaseolus vulgaris Linn., legume flours, using AOAC enzymatic-gravimetric analysis. The results showed that M. uniflorum, P. lunatus, and P. vulgaris legume flours contained 155.91, 120.01, and 90.80 mg/g insoluble dietary fiber, respectively. At the same time, soluble dietary fiber was not found in any tested sample.
Assessing students' progress in introductory programming courses is crucial for identifying learning gaps and improving teaching methods. This study evaluates the effectiveness of Moodle-based tests with randomized questions in monitoring student progress in C programming courses at J. Selye University during the 2023/24 academic year. A series of ten tests were administered across two courses, covering essential programming topics such as data types, variables, conditional statements, loops, two-and three-dimensional arrays, recursion, and sorting algorithms. The results revealed significant variations in student performance, with recursion and the pretest/posttest loops presenting the greatest challenges. The correlation analysis of test scores showed strong relationships among related topics, confirming the structured progression of the curriculum. These findings suggest that Moodle-based assessments offer valuable insights into students' learning trajectories, enabling educators to adapt their instructional strategies accordingly. Such insights can help optimize introductory programming curricula, enhancing student engagement and understanding.
